Wikki Stix

We first came across Wikki Stix in Jed's Small Poppies class. They were a huge hit with everybody, children and grown ups alike. I hadn't come across them before. I tried to find some but they weren't available in New Zealand at the time. They are now!

The nice folks from Wikki Stix Asia contacted me and asked if I would like to review some mini-packs of Wikki Stix. The answer  was a resounding yes. We have had a great time with these.

They are made of wax coated yarn. They stick to each other and to almost all surfaces with just light pressure. They do not contain wires or other sharp parts, and are almost endlessly reusable. You can use them for all sorts of things...letter work, diagrams, creating sculptures. They remind me a bit of pipe cleaners, only cooler.

I love the way you can use them again and again. I think we'll be busting these out in our homeschooling sessions for various reasons too.

We were given the mini-ones. I'd love to get my hands on some of the longer lengths too. We've been leaving messages for each other on walls, doors and!

If you'd like to get your hands on some, Wikki Stix Asia has given GrowMama readers a 15% discount.
The coupon code is GROWMAMA2013. Once you have completed your purchase, click on the 'View Cart' button and type in the coupon code. Then you click 'Apply Coupon code' and happily await magical Wikki Stix to appear in your mailbox.

This discount is valid until 1 September 2013.
Enjoy. x
